American Wirehair
Overview
The American Wirehair - a relatively new breed of cats of American origin with an unusual peculiar structure of hair. The breed gets its name from the fact that their fur resembles springs. The cat is of medium size with a strong, muscular build, the overall appearance is similar to the American short-haired. The muzzle has a typical open and friendly expression, resulting from the rounded, wide-open eyes. The ears are medium-sized and widely set. The main feature of the breed is a short, bouncy coat, which is the result of a mutation. There are different types of curling, from bristly to curly, but each hair is broken, hooked or curled as a spring, which makes these cats peculiar.

American Wirehair cats are distinguished by their calmness and equanimity. They love attention, love to play with their owner, and are great at making contact with strangers and animals. They like to draw attention to their own person. This breed does not need a lot of space, but can be outdoors periodically and loves the outdoors. Despite the fact that this breed is very calm and affectionate, conflicts can arise between two cats that are not neutered, so it is better to have one cat to avoid this.
